BNP Paribas Open – Indian Wells 2024 Men’s Betting Tips & Predictions
The mens draw for Indian Wells has been blown wide open by the fact that Novak Djokovic will not be present in California. Djokovic endured a high-profile spat with Australia regarding his COVID-19 vaccine status for the Australian Open, and was not allowed to compete in the competition before being deported by the government. The American government and organisers of Indian Wells appear to be trendi🌟ng in the same dir💙ection regarding the Serbs status, according to Djokovic.
It would be a surprise to see him compete, which is music to the ears of the rest of the draw. Rafael Nadal capitalised on his absence at the Australian Open to clinch the 21st Grand Slam of his career. The Spaniard will be desperate to follow up his performance with another triumph to signal to the rest of the ATP Tour that he is back to his best. He bui൩lt off his Grand Slam victory with a win over 2021 Indian Wells winner Cameron Norrie in the Mexican Open final. Watch out for Rafa.
Daniil Medvedev was faced with the prospect of being banned from ATP Tour due to the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine. However, unlike the Russian Federations suspension from the Davis Cup, Medvedev along with his compatriots will be allowed to compete on the tour for the foreseeable future. The recently crowned world number one will be desperate to bounce back from his defeat to Nadal in ꦬthe Australian Open final.ꦑ He is seemingly well placed for a surge at the title.
Andrey Rublev is another man that faced a nervous wait, although he spoke out against the Russian aggression in the Ukraine on court with a message on camera. Rublev is in outstanding form on the tour as he eased past Jiri Vesely in straight sets of the Dubai Tennis Championships final. The 24-year-old could be ready to make his mark in the ATP Tour 1000 after two previous failures and he could be well worth a shout in the Indian Wells odds as an outsider as one of our tennis tips.
Stefanos Tsitsipas needs to make an impression on the tour in 2022 after losing to Medvedev in the Australian Open semi-finals, Felix Auger Aliassime at the Rotterdam Open final and to Norrie in the last four of the Mexican Open. The 23-year-old has all the talent at his disposal, but he has seemingly has a problem taking the next step. Indian Wells could be an important title f🎃or his♔ development.
It was questioned whether Alexander Zverev would miss the tournament after his outburst at the Mexican Open when he used his racquet to lash out at the umpires chair in the doubles tournament. The German also l🌟aunched a tirade at the official and was subsequently fined by the ATP. Whether he is allowed to compete remains to be seen, although he does seem in a great frame of mind for a run at Indian Wells.
Norrie and Auger Aliasꦰsime lead the charge for the outsiders, especially after the latter’s victory over Tsitsipas as the Rotterdam Open. Norrie is the defending champion and is in good form despite his defeat at the hands of Nadal in the Mexican Open. The Brit could be an intriguing option when betting on Indian Wells.
BNP Paribas Open – Indian Wells 2024 Women’s Betting Tips & Predictions
Ashleigh Barty reaffirmed her standing as the top player in the womens game by winning the third Grand Slam of her career at the Australian Open. The Australian triumphed on home soil for the first time with a brilliant run through the competition before beating out American Danielle Collins in the final in straight sets. Barty will enter Indian Wells as the world number one and will be the leading contender in the bཧest Indian Wells betting sites to win the competition. It is hard to look past the 25-year-old on current form.
Emma Raducanu failed to build on her victory at the 2021 US Open as she crashed out in the second round after beating Sloane Stephens. The 19-year-old was battling a hand injury at the time and has ha𝕴d other fitness concerns that forced her to retire from the Guadalajara Open in the first round. Raducanu is unlikely to hit the heights of the US Open on her return to America, but her Indian Wells odds could be compelling as an outsider.
Iga Swiatek reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open before losing out to Collins. The Pole continued her good form in 2022 by winning the Qatar Open against Anett Kontaveit in straight sets. She is currently ranked fourth in the world and is improving with each passing tournament. Swiatek is still young at the age of 20, but a major win in the WTA 1000 Series would be a good way for her t𒐪o end the hard court season on a high note. She will have solid odds for a decent run.
Kontaveit herself has enjoyed an impressive start to the 2022 campaign, picking up from where she left off in 2021. The Estonian reached the WTA Tour Finals, only to lose out to Garbine Muguruza in straight sets in December. However, she claimed her first WTA🌠 Tour crown at the St Petersburg Trophy and could be primed for a run at Indian Wells if she manages to maintain her levels.
Aryna Sabalenka faced a worrying wait to discover whether she would be allowed to compete due to Belarus involvement in the Ukrainian conflict. The world number three will be permitted to play, but her form in 2022 has been poor, notably losing to Swiatek in the semi-finals of the Qatar Openᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ꦑᩚᩚᩚ. In other tournaments on the tour, Sabalenka has flattered to deceive. It would be a surprise to see here compete for the title into the second week of the competition.
Other contenders to consider include 2021 winner Paula Badosa and Barbora Krejcikova, who met in the final of the Sydney International earlier this year with the Spaniard emerging as the victor. Naomi Osaka should also not be discounted as she attempts to regain he🦂r best form on the tour after struggling with a variety of issues both on and off the court over the last year.
Popular BNP Paribas Open – Indian Wells Betting Markets
There are a number of ways to bet on tennis online, which helps keep this market fresh 🙈and exciting. Below, we've listed🏅 a few examples to help you with your BNP Paribas betting.
Outright Tournament Winner
An Outright Tournament Winner bet is simply a bet on the winner of a tournament. Tennis is normally a🍸 seeded competition, and draws are implemented accordingly to determine which players will face one another throughout the tournament.
The handy thing about this is that bettors are able to look ahead at potential matchups as soon as the tournament draw is released. This will help you select the players that you think ඣmight enjoy a deep run at a tournament. The third seed, for instance, won't meet the tourney favourite until the semi-final, whereas the second seed won’t face the top player until the final.
In the men’s draw, more often than not the top seeds advance to the latter stages of the competition due to the recent dominance of Djokovic, Nadal and Roger Federer. Value on the top three players can be tough to find in the outright market. However, there are exceptions🦄 as Norrie’s run to the Indian Wells crown in 2021 proved. If you study the form, parti🐻cularly on hard courts before placing a wager on the tournament.
The women’s competition can be more open as we’ve seen in the past players can emerge out of nowhere in the case of Raducanu to win a Grand Slam. Barty has seemingly established herself as the top player on the WTA Tour, but is not infallibl𝄹e. There is not the dominance among the top seeds as th🐻ere is in the men’s game, so value can be found by betting on lowe-ranked players, especially if they have good records on the surface or Indian Wells in general.

Each Way Tournament Betting
Each way betting on tennis tournaments allows you to place a wager on a player to reach the final of the competition rather than simply selecting an outright winner. In this bet you split your stake, so 50% of your wager is placed on the outright winner and the other half backs the player in question to r𓆉each the final.
For an each-way bet you receive ½ of the outright odds for the player to reach the final. For e🌺xample, if Medvedev is backed at 8/1 to win Indian Wells, your each-way bet will be worth a price of 4/1 should he reach the final of the competition. Be wary to read the terms and conditions of each-way bets as the value for the payout will differ depending on the tennis betting site.

Match Winner
A Match Winner bet is the most popular form of tennis betting. This is a bet on who will win a particular match in which a draw isn't a possible outcome. Due to the nature of a tennis match, shock results are rare, but do happen. This means that, although the best player will usually win, form is important, so do pay attent🔴ion to it.
It's also worth noting the past results between the two players in question, as some competitors, no matter how good they are, str🦩uggle against a certain playing style such as big, powerful-serving players.
Another factor that can determine the result of a match or tournament is the playing surface. Some players are practically unplayable on certain surfaces – think ‘The King of Clay' Rafael Nadal at the . Note that grass is the least bouncy and fastest surface, while clay is the slowest, with the hard court being somewhere in the middle.
Best betting site for Indian Wells Match Winner betting: Paddy Power
Sets Winner
This is the tennis version of a correct score bet, because in tennis, you bet on the score in sets. Most games are a best of three sets affair, but in the majors and other premier events, the m🎐en will play best of five set matches. So, in a five-set match, ꦫa player can win 3-0, 3-1, or 3-2, for example.
This is a good bet for players that start slowly or drop🍸 off slightly in the middle of a match or aren’t likely to drop a set at alꦬl. Either way, this can help build some value in a sport where favourites are generally low priced. A bet such as this would also suit other tennis events such as the Miami Open, where good betting odds can be enjoyed and exploited.
Best betting site for Sets Winner of the First Set betting: Betfair
First Set Winner
This is a simple prediction concerning which of two players will win the first set of the match. There will be stats available to help you make such a prediction, such as whether or not certain players tend to start slowly or take charge of the match an✱d typically win the first set.

Accumulator Bets
Given the nature of Indian Wells, there are opportunities to place tennis accumulator bets across matches in the tournament. On this wager, you can select a number of outright markets from different matches to place into one big bet.
For example, you select the winners of several matches across both the men and women’s tournaments to increase the value of your odds. It does come with a greater risk due to the number of selections involved, but it does give you the option🐼 of placing a smaller stake with the potential of a larger windfall if successful.

History of the BNP Paribas Open – Indian Wells
The tournament began in 1974 in Tucson, Arizona, and was originally an ATP fundraising event. Two years later, the tournament was relocated to in the Coachella Valley, California, where it remained for five years. The competition spent another half-decade staged at the La Quinta Hotel, where it got bigger every year until it eventually outgrew the tennis facilities there and needed to move again to a new tennis facility in nearby Indian Wells.
By 1987, a top women’s professional competition was held in conjunction with the men’s event, though prior to the men’s rather than concurrently. This changed in 1996, when they were scheduled to take place at the same time after the ATP and the WTA agreed to combine both events. The tournament continued to grow, and by 2000, construction of the Indian Wells Tennis Garden was completed, where it continued to increase in attendance. In 2009, the French bank BNP Paribas came on board as the sponsor of the event and remains so to this day.
